A Caregiver provides non-medical care in a client's home or other facility, assisting him or her so that he or she can maintain independence in a familiar environment. At We Are Family Home Care, you can be a successful Caregiver if you possess the following attributes:
No degree, certification, or prior experience is necessary to apply for a Companion/Homemaker position with us.
We will train you to develop the skills necessary to succeed working with our clients. We provide ongoing training while you are employed with us, so you can maintain your skills and learn new ones. We also provide CPR training through an outside vendor; all employees are required to complete this training within 120 days of being hired.
All applicants must submit to criminal background check. Driving record search will also be performed, and we will request proof of driver’s license and insurance. Caregivers must meet minimum age requirements and be able to work legally in the U.S. Tuberculosis (TB) testing is required per state regulations. Completed CPR certification required within 120 days of being hired (provided by We Are Family Home Care, or prior certification may be accepted). We may also require that applicants submit to drug testing.
We have a strong belief that Caregivers are a valued and important part of our We Are Family Home Care family. Newly hired individuals with no experience will be initially trained for Companion/Homemaker position. With ongoing training and/or experience, advancement is available to Personal Care Assistant 1 and Personal Care Assistant 2 positions. You may also be considered for further promotion to Lead Caregiver position with appropriate experience and skill set.
