National Area Agencies on Aging
The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) is the umbrella organization for the 655 area agencies on aging. Its fundamental mission is to provide services that make it possible for older individuals to remain in their homes.

Northwest Indiana Community Action
Local not-for-profit organization Area Agency on Aging and Community Action Corporation, as well as Northwest Indiana’s 2-1-1 Information and Assistance Call Center. Provides services to individuals and families so they can maintain independence and self-sufficiency. Serves Lake, Porter, Newton, Jasper, Starke, and Pulaski counties.

A national network of chapters; the largest national voluntary health organization committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s and helping those affected by the disease.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana
An independent not-for-profit organization serving eleven counties in northern Indiana, including Lake, Porter, La Porte, Elkhart, Jasper, Kosciusko, Marshall, Newton, Pulaski, St. Joseph, and Starke. Offers free programs and services to help people with Alzheimer’s or related dementia as well as their caregivers, families, and friends.

American Cancer Society
Nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Its aim is to prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish cancer-related suffering through research, education, advocacy, and service.

American Diabetes Association
Nation’s leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information, and advocacy.

American Heart Association
National voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

American Lung Association
Fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control, and environmental health.

National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges faced by everyone affected by MS.

American Stroke Association
Division of the American Heart Association that is focused solely on reducing disability and death from stroke through research, education, fundraising, and advocacy.

National Parkinson Foundation
Educational site on Parkinson’s disease. NPF drives breakthrough research by bringing together the thought leaders at NPF Centers of Excellence—leading medical centers around the globe that deliver care to more than 50,000 Parkinson’s patients. These NPF centers constitute a community of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving clinical care for those with Parkinson's disease.

National Mental Health Association
Non-profit organization addressing all aspects of mental health and mental illness. Works to improve the health of all Americans, but especially the 54 million with mental disorders, through advocacy, education, research, and service.
